Rimini Expo Centre: Overview
Completed in 2001 and expanded in 2017, Rimini Expo Centre is one of the largest trade fair hubs in Italy. Entirely laid out on ground-floor level, it has 189,000 square metres of useable space, of which 129,000 is gross expo space and 60,000 square metres space for services, and features 24 modular conference rooms, an on-site mainline railway station and parking facilities for 11,000 cars, as well as three press rooms, a business centre and restaurants/food service corners.
Beauty, business and comfort have always been at the heart of the facilities provided by Rimini Expo Centre. The venue has a “green” vocation that it pursues by protecting the ecosystem, respecting the environment and with an eco-friendly philosophy. Functionality and efficiency, combined with a style inspired by the Renaissance, are the strong points that attract buyers and exhibitors from all over the world.
Rimini Fiera is a major exhibition centre in Rimini, in the region of Emilia-Romagna, northern Italy. Completed in 2001 and expanded in 2018, the complex is set in sixteen pavilions with 129,000 m² (1,390,000 sq ft) of exhibit floor and a dedicated railway station.
Rimini Fiera specialises in trade fairs, but also hosts sporting events and musical performances. It also hosts the annual flagship Rimini Meeting of the lay Catholic Communion and Liberation movement.
The Fiera is a major local employer. The majority of Rimini’s 500 hotels reopen for the conference season, which provides a flow of visitors to the city outside of the summer beach season. The dates of conferences are also used to set municipal regulations on the touristic season along the riviera. In 2015, with the Rimini Palacongressi, Rimini Fiera was estimated to be worth about a tenth of the Province of Rimini’s gross domestic product.
The Fiera is operated by the Italian Exhibition Group SpA, which was formed by the merger of Rimini Fiera and Vicenza Fiera in 2016. Since October 2023, the president of the group is Maurizio Ermeti.
