Manekshaw Centre nestled in the serene outskirts of Delhi Cantonment, is a multi-utility, state of art Convention Centre, spread over 25 acres of landscaped area. The elegant interior decor of the building showcases the rich ethos and glorious traditions of the Indian Army and also reflects the diverse and remarkable cultural heritage of our country.
It is an ideal venue for seminars, conferences, exhibitions, stage performances, formal and informal banquets. Being one of its kind in Delhi, this Centre is ideal for hosting all important events, both civil and military. The complex has been named in honour of Field Marshal SHFJ Manekshaw, Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan, MC, the first Field Marshal of the Indian Army.
History:
Manekshaw Centre named in honour of Field Marshal SHFJ Manekshaw, is one of the finest institution of the Indian Army. The journey began in Dec 2003, when the centre was conceptualised by the then COAS Gen NC Vij, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, ADC and was converted into reality by army, working in harmony with the main contractor K-Tech Engineers and Builders, and the architect, STUP Consultants (P) Ltd. Today, Manekshaw Centre is an amalgamation of modern architecture, art and culture, yet maintaining its military character. Manekshaw Centre was inaugurated by Her Excellency Pratibha Devi Singh Patil, President of India on 21 Oct 2010.
EXHIBITION GROUND covering an area of 20,000 sq ft is an open to air exhibition space and can accommodate large displays in conjunction with the Exhibition Hall. This space can also be used as a parking space.
EXHIBITION HALL is a 15,000 sq ft air conditioned area comprising of two floors and is ideal for exhibitions. The hall features moveable display panels, pedestals and track based lighting system vital for making the exhibition a success.
The exhibition hall can also be used for the purpose of dining for 100 guest by making additional arrangements.
