Wings India 2024: About
Air travel was growing rapidly around the world, and with hundreds of millions of people joining the global middle class. ICAO predicted that global air travel will double by 2030, India had double digit growth and the aviation industry had made its place as an enabler, catalyst and contributor in determining the strides in global economic activities and development.
The aviation sector is among the sectors that has faced maximum brunt of the COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic brought the entire aviation ecosystem to a standstill. The industry had a modest start and remains promising as it is one of the strategic markets for most international players. Also, India’s aviation industry is largely untapped with huge growth opportunities and aims to become the third largest air passenger market by 2024.
FICCI jointly with Ministry of Civil Aviation, Govt. of India and Airports Authority of India is organizing the 6th edition of its flagship event on Civil Aviation (Commercial, General and Business Aviation) and Aerospace “WINGS INDIA 2024“. The biennial event of this series of event is scheduled from 18 – 21 January, 2024 at Begumpet Airport, Hyderabad.

AIRPORTS AUTHORITY OF INDIA
Airports Authority of India (AAI) was constituted by an Act of Parliament and came into being on 1st April 1995 by merging erstwhile National Airports Authority and International Airports Authority of India. The merger brought into existence a single Organization entrusted with the responsibility of creating, upgrading, maintaining and managing civil aviation infrastructure both on the ground and air space in the country.
