Schweisstec Stuttgart 2025: Trade fair for joining technology
The practical trade fair duo of 17th Blechexpo and 10th Schweisstec takes place on a two-year cycle in the state trade fair center in Stuttgart (Landesmesse Stuttgart) and is the only event in the world that deals with the complementary technologies of sheet metal processing and joining technology. Within the shortest timeframe, Blechexpo has been able to gain a leading position in Europe and now ranks second in the world on the list of trade fairs for sheet metal processing. The Schweisstec international specialist trade fair for joining technology forms the ideal complement. It presents all of the relevant mechanical and thermal joining and connecting procedures as well as thermal welding processes.

Sheet Metal Processing with an International Format
The Blechexpo international trade fair for sheet metal processing experienced significant growth and showcases worldwide offerings including products and solutions for the industrial processing of sheet metal, pipe and profiles. The portfolio extends from raw materials to its storage and handling, right on up to the production of ready-to-install assemblies, devices, equipment and basic machines. Supplemented by the complementary Schweisstec international trade fair for joining technology, the trade fair duo is of special importance when viewed from a global standpoint, because nowhere else in the world are the process sequences for processing sheet metal, pipe and profiles so well represented as here!
The modern concepts of Blechexpo and Schweisstec are consistently aligned to the needs of the users, and are reflected in the continuous upward trend demonstrated by both of these information, communication and procurement platforms. Double-digit growth rates for exhibitor numbers and exhibition floor space for nearly every event is accompanied by ever greater numbers of expert visitors from industrial countries and newly industrialized nations.
Internationally Unique and Prominent
Blechexpo / Schweisstec underscores its excellent positioning with growing internationalism. In 2019, the technical event broke a number of records: More than 41,000 visitors from a total of 113 countries came to Stuttgart. Nearly 1,500 exhibitors from 36 countries presented outstanding process competence covering all aspects of sheet metal and profile processing in nine full exhibition halls on 108,000 square metres of floor space.
World-Class Supplementary Programme
Blechexpo / Schweisstec is a unique platform for meeting up with other experts, transferring knowledge and exchanging experience. And thus a highly interesting, world-class supplementary programme with topics covering the entire spectrum of steel and sheet metal working will accompany the trade fair on all four days. Amongst other highlights, the exhibitor forum will provide expert visitors with a power-packed presentation programme dealing with current issues. Further items on the agenda targeted at an intensive transfer of ideas and knowledge commendably round out the content of the industry event, for example the Blechexpo Expert Meet and the Blechexpo Award.
Process-Oriented, Practical, Future-Oriented
Sheet metal working is a key issue in manufacturing, especially in the fields of machinery and equipment production, steelwork, lightweight metal construction, the automotive industry and electrical engineering. Solutions and systems covering all individual manufacturing requirements are relevant. As a whole, trends and driving forces in industrial production also dominate sheet metal working and are thus a major topic at the trade fair: individualized complete solutions for sheet metal working, automated welding, the use of collaborative robots (cobots) for sheet metal handling and processing, robot teams in production and welding, as well as ergonomic handling, efficient use of resources, lightweight design and quality assurance. Preliminary and final processing, module assembly and surface finishing for visible components are also issues, as well as the cutting, punching and forming of steel, aluminium and non-ferrous sheet metals.
Automation, digitization and quality assurance are in focus in the fields of both sheet metal working and joining technology, and are dealt with accordingly. More and more attention is also being focused on modern cutting technologies such as laser cutting and high-pressure water-jet cutting.
Schweisstec Stuttgart 2025
In combination with the complementary Schweisstec international trade fair for joining technology, the entire process sequence for cold forming sheet metal fabrication, as well as the associated thermal and mechanical cutting, joining and fastening technologies, are covered. These topics go hand-in-hand in everyday industrial practice as well. Expert visitors experience a comprehensive presentation of joining and fastening technologies for commercial and industrial processing of sheet metal, pipe and profiles.
