interpack Dusseldorf 2026: Overview
The interpack is considered one of the world’s leading trade fairs for packaging solutions and processes and takes place in the impressive Messe Düsseldorf – one of the largest and most modern exhibition centers in Europe. As a major city in the Ruhr area, Düsseldorf offers excellent transport links, including an international airport, and a wide range of hotels and restaurants. The fair, which was launched in 1958, takes place every three years. Organized by the well-known Messe Düsseldorf GmbH, a German trade fair organizer that is renowned for holding numerous international trade fairs and congresses, interpack focuses on processes and machines for packaging food, beverages, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, consumer goods (non-food), and industrial goods.
Emphasis is placed on innovative packaging solutions, packaging machines, and process systems. Additionally, the fair presents packaging materials, packaging supplies, and packaging production, as well as processes and machines for confectionery, baked goods, and pharmaceuticals. A special focus is on topics such as circular economy, resource management, digital technologies, and product safety. The interpack impresses with its size and scope and attracts exhibitors and trade visitors from all over the world, establishing it as one of the most important events in the packaging industry.
On the whole the organisers welcomed on the 7 days of the fair, from 04. May to 10. May 2017, about 2866 exhibitors from 55 countries and 170899 visitors from 169 countries on the interpack in Düsseldorf.
