The Pentagon is committed to accelerating and adapting the traditional acquisition process to improve readiness and modernize the Joint Force and respond to our Nation’s defense. Anticipate in-depth discussions on evolving threats, requisite future capabilities and capacities for response and pandemic preparedness, acquisition reform, and the future of warfighter training and readiness. Come with your questions, suggestions, and innovative ideas, and make time to check out the exhibition hall and poster sessions.

Why Attend?

Join us to discuss:

  • Leadership’s approach to responding and now preparing for pandemics and implementing necessary acquisition reforms.
  • CBRN defense requirements in the context of current and future threats and vulnerabilities.
  • The use of non-traditional contracting approaches (e.g., Other Transaction Authorities (OTAs) and assisted acquisition vehicles) to accelerate acquisition.
  • Emerging national and international CBRN defense technologies.
  • Medical and non-medical countermeasure solutions.
  • Advanced development and manufacturing needs.
  • Promising research and development opportunities from our interagency partners.

This is an exciting year for the team of teams CBRN defense community. Preparing for future CBRN threats requires that we continue to improve our products, facilities, training methods, and capabilities so that the Joint Force can fight and win in a CBRN environment whether at home or abroad.

The CBRN planning team continues to monitor the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation. Currently, the 2021 CBRN Defense Conference & Exhibition is scheduled to occur as published. The health and safety of our event participants, members, and partners remain our top priority. We are committed to following the guidelines and precautions as outlined by the CDC.

NDIA is fully prepared to adjust any and all plans if the situation changes. We are following—and will remain in compliance with—all city, state, and federal guidelines. If the direction from federal, state, or local official public health authorities changes, we will adhere to the new guidance, act upon it immediately, and update everyone. We are fully prepared to adjust our plans as needed.

The NDIA team recognizes the importance of convening the national security and defense communities to promote the best policies, practices, products, and technology for warfighters and others who ensure the safety and security of our nation.
