Northwest Flower & Garden Festival Seattle 2024: Show Features

The Gardens

Each year, inspired and innovative Garden Creators from around the Pacific Northwest put their heart and soul into crafting showstopping garden displays. These temporary and stunning works of art, constructed in under 72 hours on the show floor with over 30,000 forced plants and blooming flowers, are the cornerstone of what makes the Northwest Flower & Garden Festival a world-renowned source of garden design experience and innovation.

This year’s Garden Creators are the best of the best exploring intriguing themes such as Yellowstone country cabins, stunning sustainably made structures, edible botanicals, and of course, PNW nature and lifestyle.

City Living

For urbanites, finding ways to maximize limited outdoor space is crucial to creating a functional environment for relaxing, entertaining and connecting with nature. Under the Skybridge’s natural light, stunning displays provide numerous ideas and a wealth of inspiration for those looking to incorporate greenery, edible plants, elegant designs and more into their small space. With more City Living vignettes than ever before, what better way to explore garden spaces than in the heart of downtown Seattle!?

Marketplace

With the festival’s largest plant market yet, the marketplace is a spectacular shopping opportunity for one-of-a-kind gift items, must-have plants, and treasures waiting to be found. With finds like specialty seeds, artisan gourmet foods, hand-crafted art, jewelry and furniture, vintage and trending garden and home accessories, there is something for everyone. New to 2023’s show, a selection of exotic, tropical houseplants from around the world unavailable anywhere else in the US will be onsite to purchase.

Plants, Plants, Plants

Over 50 nurseries, garden centers, specialty plant shops and growers from Washington, Oregon and California present more plant varieties than ever before featured at the festival. You’ll find rare and exotic houseplants, air plants, bulbs and seeds, specialty growers, terrariums, vegetable starts, shrubs and trees, bonsai and so much more.

Container Wars

Seattle’s beloved gardening columnist and television host Marianne Binetti returns as emcee for this popular annual competition. A first-hand look at container creation and curation, gardening experts go head-to-head to create beautiful and practical containers for potted plants. Presented by Corona Tools, Sunnyside Nursery and Gardener’s Supply, think of Container Wars as part masterclass in creative yet functional potting containers, part seeds of inspiration while indulging a love of competition. Return every day of the show for new expert competitors! We hope you can “contain” your excitement.
